Here at the Market Place Theatre, Armagh we have a fantastic line up of shows and events. But we believe in offering the group organiser so much more than that. Realising and understanding the difficulties associated with planning an evening out for a large group of people and with that in mind, we offer a group booking advice service which provides the group organiser with all the support and assistance they should ever need to arrange the perfect outing. Please read on.
Group Booking Service…
We all know that group bookings are more complicated and require a little more time than individual bookings would, and at The Market Place, you can take all the time you need to get your booking just right. You will receive personal assistance, information and advice dedicated to ensuring all your requirements are met.
We can offer you advice on any aspect of your visit, not just the booking. For example, if you require information on coach hire contacts, parking, etc, just ask and we will endeavour to help.
If you or any of your group requires special assistance, then let us know and we will be happy to make arrangements for staff to be on hand on the evening of a show to provide assistance to group leaders. All bookings are followed up by letters of confirmation which clearly confirm your booking, and give detailed information on payment. We also provide advance notification of events allowing you to book before the crowds.
Outreach…
We can offer presentations in the comfort of your own venue regarding the facilities, events, exhibitions and workshops on offer at The Market Place Theatre. These presentations can of course be tailored to meet the needs of your group.
From time to time, visiting companies to the theatre offer workshops and talks to accompany their performances. Where appropriate, details of such outreach projects will be forwarded to groups.
Discounts…
We always aim to give you the best deal possible. At The Market Place Theatre, we believe our shows are always reasonably priced, with concession rate tickets available for many events. In addition to this, for every ten seats you book, the eleventh is offered free of charge. This applies to most shows throughout the year.

The seating in the Market Place Theatre’s Main Auditorium is located on three different levels as follows:

Front of House staff will be on hand to assist your group to their seats and answer any queries you may have, but our staff cannot be held responsible for supervising children.

Our staff are delighted to provide special assistance, if required, to disabled and other theatregoers. Facilities include lifts to all levels of the building, an infra-red system to assist patrons with hearing difficulties, spaces for wheelchairs, disabled toilets, and street-level access to the building for wheelchair users. Should any member of your group require the use of any of these facilities, please contact The Box Office 028 3752 1821 as soon as possible.

The Navan Centre is located on the Killylea Road outside Armagh, and coach parking is available here during daytime hours only.
Coaches carrying disabled patrons may enter Market Square via Market Street for drop-off only.
We would strongly recommend that you make arrangements with your coach company regarding parking, and drop off and collection of patrons, well in advance of your visit.

Arrival Time…
To ensure you get full enjoyment from your visit, we recommend you aim to arrive at the Theatre 15 minutes in advance of the performance time. This enables our staff to seat your group in comfort and allows us to ensure everyone is fully at ease before the performance commences. Please be aware that due to the often tight schedule of performances, we are regretfully unable to postpone the start of any performance for latecomers. Latecomers will be asked to wait for a suitable break in the performance before being admitted, and in some cases this may be the interval.
