‘Don’t Tell the Wife’ is set in the Willis household where matriarch and proud housewife Edna Willis is convinced that her plumber husband, Bobbie, is interested in another woman. He isn’t, but he does have some secrets of his own which he must try to keep from his suspicious wife. Her attempts to catch him red handed lead to crazy misunderstandings with a sexy French student, a male escort and even a greyhound named Bridget! The hilarity unfolds as each character's story is told while Edna tries desperately to save her marriage.
Sam Cree is one of Northern Ireland’s most popular playwrights. Born in 1928, Cree’s comedies have been produced all over the world. Cree wrote scripts for the ‘Carry On’ films in the 60’s and ‘Don’t Tell The Wife’ is another of his hilarious comedies.
