Get back to basics with this fantastic workshop, presented in association with, and based at, The AmmA Centre. We'll have you taking pictures with confidence in no time! Begin by arranging your shots, and developing perfect image composition, allowing you to make the best use of your camera. Learn to upload and download your photos, using computer packages to alter your images. Follow this with a session on portraiture, before discovering how to share your images with others through the use of slideshows.   Participants may bring along their own camera, but cameras will be available for use.

Using a selection of different beads and coloured wire, you will gain an insight into the wonderful world of jewellery. A ten week Salsa course aimed at those who would like to learn salsa dancing and other Latin American rhythms in a relaxed, fnu atmosphere. An introduction to printmaking by artist and expert tutor Jill McKeown. In two skill-packed days, you will learn drypoint and collograph printmaking. Create a linear and tonal drypoint print using a Perspex plate, drawing and mark-making techniques. Learn how to make a textural collograph print from tactile and relief collage effects.

Join this innovative workshop with tutor Tony Rea, who has been a wood turner for many years, creating stunning pieces from totally natural materials. Spend an enjoyable day following Tony's example and learn the craft of wood turning using a lathe. Participants will explore basic methods, and will each create their own unique hand-turned pieces of artwork to take away. Participants should wear old clothes.

This brand new workshop introduces the ancient techniques of chain maille and beading. Tutor Nikki Terlik brings the art to life with fantastic colour combinations and use of different beads. You will produce various items of jewellery, and all that you require will be good eyesight or a good pair of glasses.

An informal and interactive workshop concentrating on aspects of scriptwriting including character development and dialogue. Learn techniques to write for stage, radio and film, and finish by writing your own story. This workshop will provide an introduction to the hand feltmaking techniques of wet felting, sculptural felting, nuno felting and needlefelting to participants.
